Yesterday was my baby big boy’s birthday. I can’t believe he is three already. Seems like just yesterday he was born. I guess everyone probably thinks that about their kids.

His first celebration was at Grandma & Grandpa Dieleman’s house last week. I gave my mom a book of all different cupcakes for Christmas. I let Nicholas pick one out and my mom and I spent a whole afternoon decorating 10 different cupcakes. He was worth it, although not sure if I would do that again

We even made them to look like each of the 10 grand kids – well really just the different color eyes and hats, but still customized.

Nicholas loved them & had a great party.

He got so many nice gifts including a wall-e arm (which is his favorite character right now), a lot of Thomas trains (an all time favorite) and a guitar like he loves to play at Grammie’s house on Wednesdays.

Yesterday was his actual birthday. During the day we just hung around at home. Sylvia loves doing anything her big brother does – and I think Nicholas likes it too.

Check out her leg – she was cuddling with him on the floor

When Scott got home we opened a few presents.

Nicholas loves Wall-E right now (the book kept falling out of the sleeve so this is the only pict I got)

Another one of his little presents was a flashlight/laser pointer he wanted really bad when we visited Scott at work

Not sure if that was a good idea

Then we headed out for dinner at Red Robin. We decided to go there because last year when we were going to take him to Chuck E Cheese, there was a 2 hour wait. So last minute we decided to go to Red Robin. He was smiles from ear-to-ear when they sang to him and brought him ice cream. This year not so much… I think he was startled when the came up behind him and started clapping and singing. In fact he was crying so hard I don’t think the waiters and waitresses knew if they should keep on going or just stop right then.
(Here he is just starting to lose it)

He did like the balloon they brought him though!

Then to top the night off we headed to Toys R Us so he could buy something with the money his Great-Grandma sent him.
The last three years have been such a joy and he is such a blessing to me! I just love this little man!
