Flying

Yesterday, my Dad took Nicholas on his very first non-commercial plane ride.  Scott and I got to ride along too, and Irene offered to stay back with Sylvia.  My dad had reserved a Diamond DA40 for 6:00, but when we got there the plane was no where to be found.  So we waited and waited and waited.  An hour and a half later the guy using it finally dropped it off.  But we did get to see the sun set while we were up – which was absolutely beautiful.  Nicholas loved flying too.  As soon as we landed he said ‘more airplane’ and the whole way home he talked about how the plane was ‘so cute!’

Here are a lot of pictures from our adventure:

Finally we got the airplane…

Nicholas got to ride up front and be the co-pilot…

We even got to fly over our house…

Nicholas was loving it…

The sun had set while we were in the air and the sky was beautiful colors…

Great pictures, Katie! They remind me of a flight Zac and I took around Mt. Rainier in Washington – is seemed like we could reach out of the plane’s window and touch the rocks. Amazing Nicholas has had such fun in his young life :)
    Love and Hugs!
