Ready to Crawl

She started getting on her hands and knees this week and rocking a little now too.  I’m torn on whether I want her to crawl or not.  I know she will be more content when she can get what she wants, but on the other hand she will soon be able to get into anything she wants.

Flying

Yesterday, my Dad took Nicholas on his very first non-commercial plane ride.  Scott and I got to ride along too, and Irene offered to stay back with Sylvia.  My dad had reserved a Diamond DA40 for 6:00, but when we got there the plane was no where to be found.  So we waited and waited and waited.  An hour and a half later the guy using it finally dropped it off.  But we did get to see the sun set while we were up – which was absolutely beautiful.  Nicholas loved flying too.  As soon as we landed he said ‘more airplane’ and the whole way home he talked about how the plane was ‘so cute!’

Here are a lot of pictures from our adventure:

Finally we got the airplane…

Nicholas got to ride up front and be the co-pilot…

We even got to fly over our house…

Nicholas was loving it…

The sun had set while we were in the air and the sky was beautiful colors…

You are my Sunshine…

A few days ago Nicholas wanted Grammie to draw a sunshine on the driveway – then he copied it.  It was so cute I just had to get a picture of it!

The Best 3 Days!

Today marks the start of one of the best three days.  I have been waiting for these three days for many years.  Its the day that my best friend from high school turns the big 3-0 while I am only a measly 28 – he he!  I met Sarah when we were freshmen at South Christian (I think it was 15 years ago already) and we have been great friends ever since.  She is a year and three days older than me, so when she turned 16 she would always rub it in that I was still 14, when she turned 18 – I was still 16 and when she turned 21, I was only 19.  I was always the young one.

But I always told her that I would have many more of the ‘fun’ birthdays than she would.  Once we were both past 21 there weren’t any more fun milestones to tease me anymore – now it was my turn.  So far none of them have been as much fun as this one will be.  Hence the blog post.  Just my way of rubbing it in a little bit :)

(Looking for something Sarah??? – 1999)

We have many memories together – being lifeguards at AJ’s, spying, going on vacations together, double-dating with her cousin’s – odd, thinking we started a fire in Gatlinburg, writing papers for eachother & getting caught, parties at the river, singing in the hot tub, making videos, trying to teach me to dance and lots more!

(me, Heather and Sarah in the halloween costumes we made – not really sure what we were supposed to be though – 2000)

Hope you have a great birthday Sarah! Next year I will still only be in my 20′s again!!!
